Passport Application - Adult applicants aged 18 and over (one appointment for each application is required)

For an Australian Passport Renewal Application (PC7), please present the following ORIGINAL documents at your appointment:
1. Fully completed Passport Application Form available from www.passports.gov.au
2. Two (2) recent photographs, your full name written in block letters on the reverse in black pen
3. Previous Australian passport

For an OVERSEAS Passport Application (PC8), please present the following ORIGINAL documents at your appointment:
1. Fully completed Passport Application Form available from www.passports.gov.au
2. Two (2) recent photographs, one endorsed on the reverse side by the guarantor by writing 'This is a true photo of (applicant's full name)' and signing in black pen
3. Previous Australian passport (if applicable)
4. Birth certificate. Australian birth certificate if born in Australia issued by the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages (RBDM)
5. Evidence of name change if applicable
6. Photo ID e.g. foreign ID or driver's licence
7. Additional proof of identification e.g. bank card, health card or foreign passport
8. Proof of Address e.g. utility bill with name and address

4. If you or your partner were previously married, please bring proof of dissolution of any previous marriages (such as an original divorce or death certificate)
5. Evidence of any name changes

A CNI will be issued based on the information on your application form.

Some countries may require that you also provide a Single Status Report from the Registrar of Birth Deaths and Marriages in Australia.

We cannot advise on other countries' specific requirements for Australians to get married overseas. For details of marriage requirements, you should contact the embassy, high commission or consulate of the country in which you would like to get married for their advice. You may also seek the advice of the Church/Municipality where you will be getting married at.
